Size up

Bought a pair of these from a local store in size L/xL. I'm a 36" waist in jeans and these fit closer to a medium maybe even small. The elastic straps across the back side were very small and unless you are all muscle they're not very flattering and will just squish you in an awkward way. On the bright side the material is really soft and comfortable and would be great if the size chart was more accurate.
